Mildura Basketball is currently taking expressions of interest for the following positions on the Senior Heat Committee:

Fundraising Coordinator
Social Media Coordinator

The Social Media Coordinator will play a pivotal role in delivery of a professional and positive culture program.

Responsibilities

Create Facebook content as needed and send to MBA for posting in a timely manner.
Liaise with the Director of Participation & Development on branding requirements for content.
Create Instagram content and post to MBA Insta.
Monitor page and post comments to ensure adherence to the MBA Social Media policy.
Report any inappropriate discussion or comments to MBA.
Provide reports each Committee meeting where necessary.
Assist with various season events as required.

Essential Skills

Ability to create appropriate, informative, fun content.
Ability (within reason) to create short notice content in a timely manner.

Requirements

The Social Media Coordinator is expected to:

Act in the best interest of the program and Association at all times.
Attend all Committee meetings.
Undertake the role in good faith and honesty.
Hold a current volunteer “working with children” check.

Develop a season fundraising schedule for approval through the Committee.
Coordinate the seasons approved fundraising schedule.
Manage and record any raised funds for report and hand over to the Treasurer and MBA.
Provide reports each Committee meeting.
Assist with various season events as required.

Requirements

The Fundraising Coordinator is expected to:

Act in the best interest of the members at all times.
Attend all Committee meetings.
Undertake the role in good faith and honesty.
Hold a current volunteer “working with children” check.

The role of the Secretary is to support the Chair to ensure the Committee functions properly.

Responsibilities

Support the Chairperson to ensure the program and all related activities are conducted in accordance with the MBA Governance and Code of Conduct, Basketball Victoria Bi-Laws and Policies and Big V Operational Guidelines.
Collect, sort, and distribute program communications.
Issue notices of meetings.
Prepare and distribute meeting agendas.
Take Minutes and distribute within 7 days of meetings to all members and MBA’s Director of Participation & Development.
Manage action items list and in consultation with the Chairperson ensure action items and matters are dealt with and recorded correctly and in an orderly, efficient manner.
