HEAT 2022 INDIGENOUS ROUND

The Mildura Heat's 2022 Big V Indigenous Round uniform was designed by talented local artist Chantelle Mitchell.

The design titled Family/Team is described by Mitchell as:

Footprints representing each player in the team and their journey through their basketball career; with the symbols around the middle representing strong men and women, and the circles around the outside are meeting places but also represents when we travel around the state to different towns to play.

On being commissioned for the design, Mitchell said:

Designing the heat uniforms for Indigenous round this year for me was something really special. I get to showcase my artwork but also share the players story’s of their basketball journeys on getting to where they are now. An amazing and special moment, can’t to watch them on Saturday night .

The Heat teams will be in action in the custom designed uniforms this weekend at the Ausloans Mildura Hothouse, tip off's at 6:00pm.
