HERE COMES THE HEAT!!

The Sunraysia Petroleum Heat Men and Women will be rolling into the semi's this weekend after finishing 2nd and 3rd on their respective ladders for the 2022 CBL season.

The Women finished their season with two W's on the road against Melton 79-75 and Echuca 88-62 on the weekend and will now hit the road to take on 2nd placed Kyneton Tigers.

The Heat Women first went up against the experienced Kyneton outfit in Round 1 where they lost 90-67, however, now that the Heat have had some time to find their feet and are putting some quality basketball on the floor, we suspect this weekend will be a quite different story!

For the Heat Men, it was a 1W/1L split on the road with a narrow loss to ladder leaders Melton 79-81 Saturday night before bouncing back against Echuca on Sunday 78-48.

The Heat now take on 3rd placed Castlemaine after first meeting them in Round 5 where they lost 91-66. Similar to the Women's narrative, the Men with a new coach, new personnel and new style of play have been getting better each game and are now in the best possible position to take on Castlemaine this weekend.
