Mildura Basketball looking to grow the girls and women's Summer Domestic Competition

Mildura Basketball is calling for girls of all ages to get your game on in the upcoming Summer Domestic Competition.

The aim is to increase girls' participation in through the junior ranks and strengthen the senior and premier league grades.

A few of our local Big V Lady Heat players have lent their support:

"Playing basketball has taught me to get out of my comfort zone in all areas of life! I’ve been able to create amazing friendships whilst doing something I love!

Basketball has shown me how hard work, dedication and determination is the key to success!"

- Georgia Mayne, Alcheringa Saints and Big V Lady Heat

"Basketball for me is so much for then just a sport, it’s your family, your friends and the memories last forever.

I love the feeling of playing in front of your home town and community as you can feel the support behind you.

I personally get goosebumps when playing basketball, getting into the zone, having fun with your teammates and friends, purely the enjoyment of getting around each other and smiling out on the court!

Get involved girls!

- Bronte Pezzaniti, Workers Warriors and Big V Lady Heat

"The game itself is so diverse. Your challenged to develop such a range of skills. But most of all, it’s the family you create through a team sport. My teammates are my best friends!"

- Tracey Sherlock, Demons and Big V Lady Heat
